Meet Your Reiki Master Teacher
Katzen Hill has been a practicing Master Teacher since 2000. She got her first attunement in 1997 in the San Francisco Bay Area where she worked in a metaphysical bookstore and healing clinic. She worked alongside other Reiki Masters, spiritual healers, psychic readers, and a seventh generation Blackfoot shamanic healer.
Growing up in a haunted house in Eastern Pennsylvania, she learned how to navigate the spirit world as a clairsentient and claircognizant psychic. In 1992, she traveled to Lafayette, Indiana to attend college and found herself neck deep in pagans and paranormal weirdness. She was given the nickname "Kat" and quickly learned combat magic and became part of the local ghostbuster Scooby gang.
Kat has a bachelors degree in Anthropology and Behavioral Psychology. She's a writer and has a peculiar fascination for the dead and deities that guard the passage between realms. She's studied and practiced Wicca, Celtic Shamanism, Druidism, Santeria, and many other paths. She's currently studying the old Norse sagas and walking the path with Loki and his Kin. For fun, she attends living history events as a Viking with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA).
Kat has taught other master teachers and has created her own advanced Reiki path. Her students nicknamed her style "Reikido, the Way of Reiki", since she and her students have strong connections with martial arts. Kat teaches Reiki to people from all backgrounds such as scientists, medical professionals, witches, and mundane people with no metaphysical skills. She's good at explaining Reiki with both quantum physics theories and the "here's how you hold a pretty rock" basics.
